Company President and founding partner Floyd T. (Tom) Harris III is a Principal Electrical Engineer with over 27 years experience in electrical systems design and construction. Tom has been involved in the engineering world since high school where he worked as a draftsman for his Father, Floyd T. Harris, Jr., a Mechanical Engineer. In 1983, he started Harris Consulting Engineers with his Father. Tom’s expertise is in the design of low and medium voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and low voltage systems for commercial and institutional projects. He currently holds licenses in 13 states.
Tom takes greatest pride in the growth and evolution of the HCE team. His leadership is apparent in his commitment to technology, mentorship of engineers and designers, and adherence to the highest professional standards.
